See What I Hear? Episode 124

In episode 124 Dylan has much more energy than Allan, apparently. They use the year just passed to guide the show, spotlight an album that Dylan is all about and take a curious route to their cover it song. As the show winds down Allan makes a few baffeling admissions. Wait, What?

  1. Bravo! Bravo! (insert clapping hands emoji)

    Awesome show!!

You got that right about 2023 being a great year for music. Some really great albums were put out for sure. Several of these albums are in my music library. Elegant Weapons, Tailgunner, Winger, Extreme……. all albums I acquired and explored. I would dare say that Extreme probably had the best guitar solo of them all in the song Rise. Nuno with those dive bombs! Had me on YouTube for days exploring them . Ear candy!

Thank you for all you do……. this show will get multiple listens for sure.

Hope everyone is enduring January well so far!

  2. Wow! In Episode 124 you delivered maybe my favorite show ever….

The thought of including some of your favorite 2023 tracks was indeed a great idea! What an amazing group of songs!

    **Ding, Ding, Ding**

Once again I own The Album Spotlight, as that Elegant Weapons album was on of my favorite albums from 2023. Richie Faulkner from Judas Priest created an amazing band from ground up, and made a hard rock masterpiece.

I also own the 2023 albums from Winger and Tailgunner, both superb. I also applaud you for taking a well deserved shot at Metallica, and I share your sentiments. Yes, Metallica also put out an album in 2023. A bloated, boring snoozfest of an album, as usual. On their best day they couldn’t match the musical chops of Winger, much less now.

Loved the Bob Dylan bootleg gem, great cover song, and a fitting Getaway song. This one will be hard to top! A podcast for the ages!

    Hope everybody is well!

  3. My favorite line from the first song was “She is killing me alive, she is making me into an old man and I’m not even 25”. I hope someday, in heaven, Bob Dylan and Hank Williams sit and write songs together. Favorite song was Ian Hunter’s Bed of Roses, hard to believe he is in his 80″s. Not quite into the harder rock but I am learning to appreciate it more and more. Did my research into the getaway song by Extreme, and ended up listening to most of the album. Enjoyed your comments, you were a little salty. Stay warm.
