  1. What an amazing Episode….

That was indeed a guitar show….and what an amazing array of guitar playing talent. Loved the Country/Southern Rock feel of the first set, especially that Molly Hatchet song. Great stuff…

So, Fleetwood Mac…I never liked them, for many of the reasons you talked about. The Rumors album was way too over played, all the inter-band drama, and as a Notre Dame fan using the USC marching band on “Tusk” was completely outrageous. However, Lindsey Buckingham, wow. His playing on that second live track was just fierce! I knew he could play, I didn’t realize he could shred like that. With feeling, and perfect tone. Great stuff…

One of my great regrets was not seeing that G3 tour when it was around. I love and have albums from all three of those guys, Satriani, Vai, and Eric Johnson. Thanks for playing those live tracks, man what a show that must have been. I look forward to getting the expanded edition of that album in the New Year.

Finally, you can never go wrong with SRV. That man lived and loved the blues, and what a great Howling Wolf cover to end the show with.

    Thanks for a perfect show….

Wishing all of our friends out there peace and happiness as we head towards Christmas…..

    I hope everybody is well….

  2. Great to hear Vince Gill on that opening song. I am glad over the years you played some of the best country guitar players along with the rock and blues artists. Got a kick out of the fact that both Stevies’ were on this show. I am a fan of both. Stevie Nicks was really good with Tom Petty. As for Stevie Ray, that is the best combination of playing and singing in my book. Another good show and I cannot wait to see what you do for Christmas this year.
