See What I Hear? Episode 151

In episode 151 Dylan and Allan are back, or never left or something. They feature mostly new music that average about 40 years old (?) and Allan screws up the song list on set three. Oh well!

  1. Wow….life is full of surprises. I thought for sure that my favorite podcast had run its course, only to be surprised by Episode 151. That was a shocker, but what a happy shock it turned out to be!

Interesting show, I am still trying to get my head around Guided By Voices, and their 41 albums! Doing some digging, l discovered that several times they released 3 albums in a year! That is insane, who could write that much music?! I always thought the band Hawkwind held rhe unofficial record for number of albums, but I think they may be beat!

Thanks for mentioning and paying tribute to John Sykes, what an amazing guitar player he was. Tygers of Pan Tang, Thin Lizzy, Whitesnake, Blue Murder…his playing elevated every one of those bands. Tasty, melodic, with his own unique style…he was just a monster on that Gibson Les Paul. RIP….

So glad we’re back….hope everyone is well!

  2. What a great day. Still light at almost 7: 00, 52 degrees and the boys are back in town with another show. Allan mentioned the word fun, and that is what I had this week listening to this episode. Frat rock is a term I heard of and I love that late 50’s and early 60’s rock. I spent an hour on you tube watching Paul Revere and the Raiders footage, I still remember those uniforms from the Revolutionary War they performed in. Very happy you decided to do more shows.
