Allan, this was my favorite podcast!! I have and always will be an Elvis fan and I am so happy you talked about the last years of his career. Too many people fall into the “group think” that Elvis did nothing his last few years. Nothing could be further from the truth. His touring schedule was brutal and life on the road is tough.
Elvis did want a break from recording and he said many times it was getting harder to get great songs. Sadly he died so young because as you pointed out he was still a great artist!!
One trivia item. Babe Ruth and Elvis both died August 16!!!!!!
Thank you for this podcast!! It was outstanding!!!!!
Liked the special podcast very much. I never had the chance to see him live and that I deeply regret. Unfortunately, I think a lot of people didn’t realize how talented he was until he died.
Episode 11 was great. Hank Williams was so talented, love listening to his music while i’m on the road. Great stuff from Big Country. Glad I stumbled across this podcast. Good Stuff.
Dylan that was by far one of the best podcasts I have ever heard about THE KING. Keep up the great work al tell Allan to contribute every now and then
Really enjoyed the variety and hearing some “hidden gems” from the legend in the late part of his career; no doubt he was a good as ever
